Sunita Kavrie, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Co-Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist

Dr. Kavrie, co-founder of The Hearing Health Center of Houston, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with previous training in Audiology. She received her Ph.D. in Speech Pathology from the University of Cincinnati, following which she completed a prestigious three year post-doctoral clinical fellowship in Medical Speech Pathology at the world re-nowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Kavrie's clinical expertise encompasses a wide array of speech, language and communication problems of neurologic origin. Dr. Kavrie's previous appointments include the head of Speech-Language Pathology at Methodist Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine, clinical researcher and Assistant Professor in the departments of Otolaryngology and Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kavrie is multilingual in Hindi, Gujarathi, Marathi and Kannada.  

In her free time, Dr. Kavrie enjoys exploring Houston's restaurant scene, especially in the Montrose neighborhood. When she's not out, she enjoys cooking multi-ethnic cuisine for friends, listening to NPR and cuddling with her dog, Panda.
